We made that film out of an insatiable desire, and history repeated itself: Antony Perumbavoor
Aashirvad Cinemas is a production house that has produced many successful films in Malayalam. Aashirvad Cinemas, which started with the Malayalam blockbuster Narasimham, has also given Malayalam films like Rasathantram, Drishyam and Spirit.
Anthony Perumbavoor, owner of Ashirvad Cinemas, says that Aashirvad is making the film Naran because he wants to make a film with director Joshi, and Sathyan Anthikkad’s Rasamantram is also the same. He was talking to Mathruthumi Grihalakshmi Magazine.
“Aseerwad had not done a film under Joshisar’s direction before then. Even after that we were always in talks for the film and a lot of things didn’t work out.
Similarly Aseervad made Kasamanthar directed by Sathyanchetan and modern thoughts. Behind it was the insatiable desire of the partnership which again produced many films in Malayalam. That alliance managed to repeat history.
When you are doing a film with Sathyansar, you don’t have to think about anything, just stand and give as one. He will take care of everything. Paka had made a film called Pardesi among the commercial films. It is not under the banner of the blessing. We did it under the banner of A&A Productions. The move was deliberate.
Because when a film like this is released from a banner that regularly releases commercial films, the audience will doubt whether the focus will be on Aseerwad’s next film. They tried to change the brand because they were afraid of it,’ says Anthony Perumbavoor.
