We lost a German investor, he went to Romania

German company Diehl Controls has chosen the Romanian city of Brasov, which was competing with Bulgaria and Serbia for an investment of 40 million euros, reports romania-insider.com, quoted by BTA.

The company, which specializes in the production of components for household appliances, will set up a research center and a production unit at the chosen location. “We chose the location in the Brasov area because it is close to the city, which has a university. The local authorities convinced us to choose Romania,” Diehl Controls CFO Josef Fellner told reporters.

The investment will be carried out in two phases. 15 million euros will be invested in the first one and it is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The entire investment will reach 40 million euros in the next 10 years.
