“We live in a funny world”: Anthony Delon denounces a serious scam linked to the Douchy estate

From the historic Douchy estate where his father Alain Delon rests, Anthony Delon launched a cry of alarm this Sunday, October 27, 2024 against a scam which exploits the memory of the actor. Scammers are using his identity to extract money from fans!

A well-established scam that targets admirers of Alain Delon

“If I speak today it is because I think there is a serious problem”said Anthony Delon in a video posted on Instagram from Douchy.

The 60-year-old actor reveals that a “smart ass” created a Facebook page impersonating his identity in September 2023, managing to attract nearly 8,000 subscribers. But the most worrying thing is yet to come: “Recently, in recent months, he has allegedly directed some more gullible people to a Messenger link and then to a Telegram number,” he explains, visibly affected.

The scam is sophisticated: the crooks promise fans an exclusive tour of the estate in the company of Anthony Delon, for 500 euros.

A firm reaction to the exploitation of the Delon legacy

Faced with this situation that he judges “very serious”the eldest son of Alain Delon announced his intention to file a complaint today. “You need to let those around you know that this Facebook page is not mine. I don’t have Facebook, I only have Instagram,” he insists. He also calls on victims to come forward to the competent authorities. This affair is reminiscent of that which recently affected son “friend Florent [Pagny]”, also a victim of identity theft on social networks.

Douchy, a sacred place at the heart of concerns

This scam occurs in a context particularly sensitive, two months after the disappearance of Alain Delon. Anthony Delon, who surrenders “two three times a week” on the property, had recently confided his hopes for the future of the estate: “I would like it to become a museum. I think it would please him. It’s complicated, there are 55 hectares but we can cut it up, we can do things. I would like that, like Gainsbourg, like Gabin like others.”

For now, the priority remains to protect this symbolic place against any malicious exploitation. “We live in a strange world”he concludes, calling on his fans to be extremely vigilant.
