The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has it all, but it is not a smartphone for everyone

Apple presented as many as four new smartphones at the Cupertino conference – iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro i iPhone 12 Pro Max. This year, the American giant decided to implement 5G technology in its devices for the first time, and also equipped them with a new, much more powerful A14 Bionic chip, which is to outdo the most powerful chips used in smartphones from Android.
The company also added a whole set of functions, especially in the field of photo and video, that will be useful for professionals (in models iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max), however, there is one “but”. Even two. First, Apple has completely forgotten to implement a refresh rate of 120 or even 90 Hz. Secondly, the set does not include a charger and headphones – we can only count on the presence of a cable (from USB type C to Lightning).

So how much for new iPhones does the manufacturer charge? Unfortunately, it is not cheap. At least in the Polish backyard. Meet prices this year’s Apple smartphones.
Polish prices of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini
By far the cheapest (but still not cheap) of all new Apple smartphones is the iPhone 12 Mini. Its price in the US starts at 699 dollars, which translates into … PLN 3,599 in Poland. The discrepancy between the American and Polish prices is surprisingly high even including VAT. $ 699 is PLN 2675. After adding 23 percent. In tax, this gives us the amount of PLN 3,290, so over PLN 300 less than for the iPhone 12 Mini the manufacturer wants.

The same applies to the iPhone 12. In the US, prices of this model start at $ 799 (PLN 3058). Meanwhile, in Poland we have to pay a trifle PLN 4199. It is much more than PLN 1,000 more than across the ocean. Even adding VAT (to the American price converted into PLN), we get the amount of PLN 3760.
So it is not cheap, despite the fact that we are talking about basic versions of iPhones with the worst memory versions. The prices of the remaining ones are even less attractive.

Polish prices of iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max
If you think the prices of the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini are high, wait for the Pro editions. The amounts that we have to spend on the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro start from a ceiling higher by PLN 1,600 and PLN 1,500 compared to the basic editions without the “Pro” note. Fortunately, Apple took pity on the users and in the cheapest versions of both devices it already adds 128 GB memory instead of 64 GB.

Where are the big differences between the prices of the iPhone 12 in Poland and the USA? Perhaps Apple decided to raise them on the Vistula River by several hundred zlotys for fear of quite often changing course dollar? Well, unless the company threw Poland into one bag with Western Europe, recognizing that we can afford more expensive smartphones than Americans.
Let’s add the charger and headphones
The only consolation may be the fact that Apple did not raise Polish prices compared to last year’s smartphones. The iPhone 12 Mini (64 GB) costs the same as the iPhone 11 in the same memory version on the Vistula River (PLN 3599). IPhone 12 Pro Max (512 GB) it is even slightly cheaper than the iPhone 11 Pro Max in its richest version (PLN 7199 vs. PLN 7449).

The catch is that Apple will not add the charger and headphones to the box along with the iPhone 12. If we want, we can buy them on our own. The cheapest power adapter with a USB type C socket (such a cable is included in the set) with a power of 20W costs PLN 99 in the Apple store. You need to spend the same on the cheapest EarPods with a Lightning connector. If we want to have both, we have to spend an additional PLN 198.
For new iPhones, you can also buy several accessories using the MagSafe solution – incl. a magnetic case, as well as a wallet or an inductive charger adhering (magnetically) to the smartphone’s backs. The prices of these products are PLN 199 for the charger, PLN 249 for the wallet and the same for the case.
