Three famous brands
With an area of 4,362 m², this commercial complex consists of six units with 3,707 m² of retail space. On the one hand, five stores will be joined together, with three cells with an area of just over 300m², and two larger ones with an area of 1053m² and 1996m². Finally, a final point of sale is planned along the avenue, with an area of 296 square meters, independent from the main building.
The signs that will be installed in the structure are already known. This is the kitchen designer Schmidt, as well as Maxi Bazar, who could thus leave the current location located near the Lorgues bridge. Finally, Boulanger, a specialist in household appliances and furniture.
The signs will begin their installation in mid-October for an opening with great fanfare in January 2023.
Archaeological discoveries
This project will not have been easy for both promoters and local residents.
In January, the works had to be interrupted due to the discovery of an archaeological site. A team of archaeologists from the Var Department then carried out a rescue operation at this olive grove dating back to ancient Rome.
Other finds dating back to the Iron Age have also been listed by the researchers.
Damage to neighboring houses
Also, the construction of this set was not done without damage. A dozen houses located all around this shopping center were damaged by the works and in particular by the crushing of the rocks during the earthworks.
Despite the damage and the discoveries made, these Dracénois will not be able to see their houses repaired before the definitive end of the work.
Case to follow.
