Apple TV+’s post-apocalyptic series, The Silo, has been extended by two more seasons – the actress who played the main character told us about this.
In March 2024, the filming of the second season of the series The Silo was completed, and now Rebecca Ferguson, who plays the main character, also announced how many seasons the series is planned for. Based on Hugh Howey’s series of novels, the series takes place in a future where the remaining members of humanity live in a nearly 150-story underground silo, since the outside world is uninhabitable.
The first season of the silo brought exciting world-building, character drama and twisty plot at the same time.
In addition to Ferguson, we can see stars like Tim Robbins and Common. The first season ended with a huge twist, and it very much looks like it this is just the tip of the iceberg.
“I believe the streak will end and I know when. To be honest, I don’t think it’s a secret: the story consists of three books, and it will be spread over four seasons. Unless something goes wrong at Apple, we can say that the first season has already gone down, we have finished filming the second, and the third and fourth seasons have been ordered. We would shoot the latter at the same time, and that would be the end of it.”
– said Ferguson, who is also the executive producer of the series.
