Forum for Democracy leader Thierry Baudet was a guest this morning on TV program WNL op Zondag. There he said that the Netherlands should be able to decide for itself who we bring to the Netherlands: “We are in the process of creating a new underclass and eroding the middle class. That’s why you have to limit immigration and that has to be a national decision. ”
Baudet argues that the European Union is only trying to gain more power and is precisely a political organization that is pro-immigration. What the EU understands by ‘regulating migration flows’ is actually nothing more than continuing to bring in better controlled crowds. According to Baudet, we as a sovereign nation-state should be able to decide for ourselves and we don’t need the EU at all!
Baudet also points out the problems that migration entails for us. The people we house here do not or hardly find work, but we do not see them in the statistics on unemployed people. And due to the high labor migration (Poland, for example), wages also remain low and collective costs (such as care) are actually driven up.
I also do not understand why only Baudet and Wilders dare to be honest about this. The rest of politicians (in The Hague and in Brussels) still seem completely convinced that all those asylum seekers here, with a little help, will get a house and a job. It is not and is not going to happen. It is (in this way) not to the advantage of the Netherlands or Europe. It is to the advantage of employers and third world countries, because they ultimately earn from it. That is why the VVD never continues on this topic.
