RIAU ISLANDS, KOMPAS.TV- Six Chinese warships were seen in the North Natuna Sea, Riau Islands. The TNI said that there were already four ships belonging to the Indonesian Navy on standby at the location.
Head of the Information Service for the Indonesian Navy’s First Fleet Command, Lieutenant Colonel Laode Muhammad, said there were four Navy ships on standby in Natuna.
The Navy ships include KRI Diponegoro-365, KRI Silas Papare-386, KRI Teuku Umar-385, and KRI Bontang-907.

“What is clear is that our ships are always there, so that if a Chinese ship enters (RI territory), we will definitely overshadow it,” said Laode, yesterday.
However, they have not received a report on the presence of six Chinese ships seen by fishermen in the North Natuna Sea.
However, if there are Chinese ships pacing in the Indonesian EEZ, usually the Navy ships will shadow it while communicating with them.

As reported Compass TV Previously, Chairman of the Natuna Fishermen Alliance, Hendri, showed a number of videos taken by fishermen at coordinates 6.17237 North Latitude and 109.01578 East Longitude.
In the video he showed, six warships from China were seen in the waters of Indonesia’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
