The works of young artists are exhibited at the Dadaepo Hongti Art Village.
Hongti Art Village and Hongtikti will hold the personal exhibitions of Min-ki Kang and Min-ji Jo as the fourth exhibition of the 2022 exhibition space support project. Furthermore, as the third exhibition of the exhibition to discover young artists, the works of the artists will be presented Jeon Hye-jin and Kim Hye-jin.
Hongti Art Village is located in Dadae-dong, Saha-gu, Busan. It is a place to revitalize local art and expand opportunities for local residents to enjoy culture and art by providing exhibition spaces for resident artists and young artists. These two exhibitions will last until November 26th.
In the support project of the exhibition space of October 2022, “Unlinked” by Min-ki Kang and “confident step” by Min-ji Jo will be exhibited in the exhibition spaces respectively on the 1st and 2nd floor of the Hongti Art Village. Artist Minki Kang works with a range of themes such as war, pandemic, economic crisis and global warming. It is an installation work that expresses that an event is swallowed or dispersed in a structure and produces ambiguous noises. In the works of the artist Minji Jo, a graduate in Korean painting, the fictional characters “D”, “Anyone” and “Goblin” appear. It is a work that is established and completed in large and small episodes in which characters appear.
In October, the Young Artist Excavation Project exhibition, Jeon Hye-jin’s “Mirror Mirror” and Kim Hye-jin’s “Another Me, Becoming You” exhibition will be held on the 2nd floor of Hongti Art Village and Hongtikti. Artist Hyejin Jeon works with objects that have been abandoned and have become obsolete. Using shamanism, a product of primitive belief, he presents flat, three-dimensional works. Artist Hyejin Kim searches for a lens to comfort her with a chisel after a hard day’s work. The subject becomes the artist himself and conveys a message of comfort and healing.
