“We don’t need to get big names to end their careers here”

Explained in an interview Neymar recently that he is after his time at PSG would like to play in Major League Soccer.

He pointed out that the season is shorter there, giving him “three months vacation”.

That remark didn’t sit well with MLS commissioner Don Garber. Asked about the PSG superstar’s testimony, Garber told reporters: “We don’t need to bring big players at the end of their career because they have decided to end their careers in MLS.”

“We want young players to come to us at the beginning or in the prime of their careers and make our league their league of choice.”

Neymar’s current contract with PSG doesn’t expire until 2025, so the 30-year-old Brazilian still has plenty of time to think about his future.
