January 25, 2021 – Insurance managers and sales specialists have to make sometimes serious decisions on a daily basis, despite the unclear facts. Under what conditions does this happen and what perspectives are seen? Digital Scouting asked two US sales experts who had caused a sensation in the past few years.
“I wanted an insurance that I understand in 30 seconds.” That’s what Gary Vaynerchuk, star investor, entrepreneur, marketing and social media legend, said on January 11th in a live conversation with Digital Scouting.
Over 18,000 people have watched the program so far. In front of many decision-makers and insurance board members, the CEO of the rapidly growing marketing agency Vaynermedia and Internetstar described a rather traditional career as an insurance customer with millions of followers.
Digital relationships as the basis for analog business
The first insurance was bought through the father’s contacts and then – as his businesses grew – through larger brokers. Despite all the digitization, Vaynerchuk says that “insurance is a relationship business”.
He underlined the following: Brokers, brokers and agents could grow enormously if they would use social media, especially Linkedin, strategically to build their personal brands – with daily posts. Because digital relationships have often become the basis for serious business relationships today.
“Don’t miss any more innovations – use apps yourself”
For over 15 years, Gary Vaynerchuk identified trends, innovations and start-ups early on and he was often right. For example, before he was well known, he invested almost all of his fortune in Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler and Uber.
On the show in early January, he explained how he discovered these trends and business opportunities. Despite his company and responsibility as CEO, he takes substantial time to try out the latest apps and technologies and to deal with the changing behavior of end customers.
Vaynerchuk emphasized that every decision maker in the insurance industry should do the same. Not only with industry trends, but also with new artists, musicians and influencers on social media. He also explained how branding would always beat direct sales in the end. His example: Nike would never send a representative to a customer’s home. Rather, customers would know the brand and buy without push.

He is the author of several bestsellers and founder of five companies – several of them with relevant distributors. One mainstay: a real estate portfolio worth over $ 2.4 billion. Cardone recently became a TV star with the Discovery series “Undercover Billionaire”.
He is known for his tough, motivating and practical words in sales. Sales successes are not celebrated: “That’s our job,” he often says. In addition to feasible sales strategies and instruments, he will also be asked for very specific tips on investment and investment during the broadcast.
