Péter Magyar too reacted to the news that the public media has started organizing an election debate.
The politician of the Tisza Party is happy that after 18 years they managed to force the leader of the Fidesz list to debate. He is also happy that his party achieved in a few days what “His Majesty’s opposition failed to achieve in more than a decade”. In other words, to have a debate program on public television.
Magyar received the information letter from the MTVA, but it lacks several technical details. As long as these are not clarified by the public media, they will not be able to give feedback on participation.

However, he has already indicated that if the debate is not live or in prime time, then the Tisza Party will not participate. It is also a disqualifying reason for them if the public media wants to sit down with all 11 list leaders at the same time.
MTVA announced on Friday that it has started organizing a public EP election debate. Shortly before that, Magyar announced that he would organize a demonstration in front of the headquarters of the public media, if there was no debate or if their demands were not read on TV.
Since the public media announcement, Anna Donáth, Klára Dobrev, Péter Róna and Gábor Vona have also indicated that they will be there for the debate. On Saturday afternoon, Tamás Deutsch, leader of the Fidesz party, joined them.
Although it is not yet known who will be able to participate in the debate, if everyone is given a chance, the show can easily become chaotic, as there are a total of 11 EP chart leaders.
