I would start not with the match, but by stating that you have made your Olympic debut and reached the semi-finals. In the end, fourth place, but with the passage of time it will probably be evaluated well.
Linda Nosková: With the passage of time, yes, but now the emotions are a little fresher, so it’s difficult.

Karolína, you and Linda Nosková played together for the first time. It’s a big tournament, for both of you the premieres at the Olympics. Things went well in the semi-finals, the other opponents were doubles players who had played twice. What positive would you get out of it?
Karolína Muchová: We weren’t even supposed to play here together, so we didn’t expect much from it. We went through good performances and those stunts in super tie-breaks until the semi-finals, neither of which we expected. After that, the fact that we are in the fight for the medals and it is very close comes to mind. He regrets it even more now. The positive thing is that we have come this far together. I think we even had fun on the court, I had a lot of fun. But now he just regrets it.

That tennis calendar is packed for both of you. If you had the chance, would you play doubles in other tournaments as well? Of course, that option is also in the Billie Jean King Cup, how do you see it?
LN: It depends on how we feel physically and if we can do it again. Now we can’t tell you in advance like that.

Is there even room for any rest? Because the tennis circus continues, if you were to describe your following days, will you be able to rest for a while or will you quickly fly back to the American concrete?
KM: We both drove out of Toronto because it’s almost impossible to make it when the tournament starts in two days on the other side of the world on concrete. But even so, Cincinnati starts in a week, so the preparation won’t be exactly world-class. Tomorrow we fly home, recover a bit and then we have to jump back into the cycle, prepare as best as possible and focus on that American concrete swing.
