He also highlighted that on Saturday afternoon, after receiving a citizen report about some subjects disturbing public order and ingesting alcoholic beverages, the municipal police activated the attention protocols and sent the security elements to the place, who upon carrying out an inspection firearms were detected.

Given this fact, five men, four firearms and a vehicle were seized, which were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) Tlaxcala Delegation, who will determine their legal situation; with which potential risks to the integrity of the Huamantlecos are deactivated.

In this sense, Commissioner Fernando Ortiz García, Director of Municipal Public Security, recognized that the number of people detained for alcohol intake has decreased, which he described as positive after the permanent operations of social proximity that have been carried out in the municipality.

Similarly, he reported that there was a blank balance in the events held over the weekend, such as the Balloon and Corn Festival, the 43rd Congress and Charro State Championship 2022; and the “From the Street to the Field” Soccer Tournament, where a police presence was maintained at all times.

In his speech, Samuel Israel García Aparicio, Civil Protection Coordinator of Huamantla, mentioned that pre-hospital care was provided during the week, checks were carried out on establishments to guarantee security measures, and presence was maintained at weekend events.

For his part, Luis Eduardo Torres Fernández de Lara, Administrator of the Huamantla Red Cross Delegation, mentioned that last week they provided 8 support services to citizens, serving 11 people, of whom 5 required transfer, and one person without signs vital upon arrival.

Finally, Salvador Santos Cedillo reiterated his administration’s commitment to continue fighting insecurity, and called on citizens to work together to continue saving Huamantla.
