Representatives of “We continue the change” insist that the hearing of the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev be held as soon as possible. This is written on the Facebook page of the party.

The spokesperson of the former Prime Minister Kiril Petkov – Lena Borislavova also came out with a position on the social network.

“As with the establishment of the Immunities Commission today, the goal is full publicity and transparency,” it said in its position.

Geshev asked not to be heard today in a legal commission, however, the deputies left the item on the agenda

“After first announcing publicly and in official correspondence to the Committee on Legal Affairs a desire to be heard, today the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev did not appear before the people’s representatives,” wrote Borislavova.

Her words came after today’s meeting of the Committee on Legal Affairs, which asked the Prosecutor’s Office when the current chief prosecutor can be heard. She also mentions the attempts to make changes to the Law on the Anti-Corruption Commission KONPI and the attempt, in her words, by some political forces to claim authorship of the text.
