The Burgas structure of “We continue the change” demonstrated political audacity by changing the composition of its municipal leadership on the eve of the elections for the National Assembly and the European Parliament.
A few days after the qualified historian and political analyst Emil Sokolov replaced Daniel Mihalev as regional coordinator of the party in the Burgas Region, the local organization convened its General Assembly.
After a secret vote, Georgi Perpeliyev, a representative of the IT business in the region, was unanimously nominated for municipal chairman.
His predecessor, Dr. Martin Krastev, is already part of the party’s national Control Council and has vacated the position.
The newly elected chairman has indicated as his main mission the attraction of new faces and highly critical thinking individuals who share the values of change.
As members of the municipal leadership, the delegates from the General Assembly elected Dr. Asen Penev, Petar Petrov – school deputy. director and teacher of information technology, Daniel Krastev – entrepreneur and journalist Krasimir Kaludov.
All of them will be directly involved in the organization of the elections on June 9 in Burgas and the constituent settlements of the municipality.
