“We can’t play at home because of the war.” Prague’s Slavia welcomes two Ukrainian reinforcements

The Ukrainian national team Roksolana Kravčuková and Iryna Kotjašová have become new reinforcements for the Slavia football players in Prague.

Both players, who came to the Prague team from the WFC Žytlobud-2 Kharkov team, signed the contract by the end of the season. The club informed about it on its own web.

Twenty-four-year-old forward Kravchuk is one of the mainstays of the Ukrainian national team. She scored two goals in the World Cup qualifiers in 2023. Before the interruption of Ukraine’s top competition due to the Russian invasion, she scored 13 goals in eight matches. She also played with the Kharkiv Champions League round of 16.

“My goal is to play football, which unfortunately is not possible in my country due to the war. I will try to help the Slavie team raise the championship over their heads. I believe that we will do our best for it,” said Kravčuková.

Kotjašová, a midfielder four years younger, had previously worked in youth teams. She made her senior national team debut last year.
