Fluctuations in world markets facilitated by the pandemic and the rise in energy prices even before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has only been exacerbated by the latter, are only the loudest of the reasons for the general rise in prices that we have been observing for more than a year. And each of us feels from our wallet that we can afford less with the current salary. Even those who keep a close eye on promotions will attest to the fact that the average amount paid for everyday purchases at the store has increased, and not by a few cents, let alone utility bills. Of course, some people do not feel the current level of price fluctuations as a big burden, but for others every cent matters.
