On Sunday, September 26, Transport Minister Hristo Alexiev issued an order for the rescue operation to begin immediately. Before “24 hours” the head of “Maritime Administration” Capt. Hristo Petrov explained that a floating crane was provided, on which a machine for repackaging the cargo would be placed.

The removal of the ship would be considered only after September 30, when the wind calms down, and until then two anchors should stabilize it, Zhivko Petrov said on Sunday.

However, a fault stopped the operation of transferring the nitrogen fertilizer to the packaging machine on Tuesday. Later it became clear that the barge, which was to transport the cargo to Varna, was also stranded.
