We are working to replicate land gates and facilitate transitions.

The Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) Board of Directors made a written statement on the discussion of KTTO President Turgay Deniz’s statements on the issue of land gates on social media.

The Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, as one of the responsible enforcers of the Green Line Regulation regulating the trade between Southern Cyprus and Northern Cyprus, is struggling to increase the land gates and facilitate the transitions.

Opening new gates for pedestrian and vehicle crossings in Nicosia; In the statement, it was stated that they are working resolutely to open a door that can at least be used by commercial vehicles in the Haspolat region, and said, “Our Chamber President does not have the opinion of closing any door and did not express such an opinion.”

“The statements of our Chamber President, Mr. Turgay Deniz, in an interview seem to have caused discussion on the social media about the black doors of our chamber. On this occasion, the need to clarify our stance on the subject once again emerged.

The Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, as one of the responsible enforcers of the Green Line Regulation regulating the trade between Southern Cyprus and Northern Cyprus, is struggling to increase the land gates and facilitate the transitions. In this context, opening new doors for pedestrian and vehicle crossings in Nicosia; In the Haspolat region, efforts are being made to open a door that can be used by commercial vehicles at least.
