On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we have many ideas and perhaps dreams that we hope will come true for us, but this year we are directing our message to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed bin Salman Al-Muslim, who and the Council have made concrete efforts in raising citizens’ issues, including the return of the expelled, and we would like to see action by the House of Representatives. Representatives to solve our problem that we have struggled for for years. We were hoping to increase the disability allowance, and in 2016 the law was passed to increase the allowance to 200 dinars. Since then, we have been waiting to receive it until this year, 2023, but unfortunately it has not been implemented yet. Rather, it has been divided for severe disabilities only, and our labor has been wasted! We have demanded, and we are still demanding, to be included in the entitlement, as we are legally considered to be in the category of disabled people, and we deserve an allowance in the country of goodness. This increase will serve us in purchasing the necessary devices for us, in addition to other needs in light of the difficult living life.
