The actors are the same except for Lena Kristin Ellingsen who is both the green-clad, Ingrid – and not least she will sing Solveig’s song.
When VG reviewed the essentially same Peer Gynt performance that was staged this year two years ago, VG’s reviewer thought that it stood for roll five.
– The spectacular new production of “Peer Gynt” by Gålåvannet is an artistic victory for everyone involved, was the conclusion.
There is no small logistics required for all the pieces to fall into place for Peer Gynt at Gålå again this year. Everything is basically about infection control.
– We all tested on the first day of testing. Actors, staff, volunteers. That’s 85 in total. Then we quickly test everyone who is on their way to tests every three days with the exception of those who are fully vaccinated. That is around 40 pieces. The fear is getting infected among the actors. Then we have to cancel performances, says producer Vivian Haverstadløkken to VG.
Last year, the organizer had to cancel all the sold-out performances at Gålå. The solution this year is several, but half-full performances – and a good distance between the audience. In practice, this means at least one meter all roads between everyone sitting in the rows of benches. With an increase from 7 to twelve performances, it will premiere already on Friday 23 July.
