Harry Kane, captain of England, showed his team’s ambition to go through the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar against France and choose to win the trophy.

“We are not satisfied with the rooms. We know there are excellent teams, but we think we are part of those teams. We have the belief and the determination that we can be successful. It is something we can demonstrate on the pitch,” he assured.

The Tottenham striker assured that they will not face the duel against France “as a final, but as one more step towards winning the World Cup”.

The forward said he had not spoken to the French goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, his club teammate and friend: “We have an excellent relationship, we have played many years together. He is a great person and one of the best goalkeepers in the world. but that day not “We will be friends. It will be a meeting between two great teams. I can’t express how much I appreciate it. I’ll be happy to beat him, but I know he’ll do anything to win.”

He assured that by his side he “learned many things, including that of being a better captain for England”.

But he denied that he will be conditioned when it comes to taking a penalty because he does not practice them with him, but with Tottenham’s reserve goalkeepers.

Kane showed his complete faith in Kyle Walker to stop Kylian Mbappé: “He’s a fantastic defender and probably the most consistent right-back in the last 10 years.”
