A video circulating online has sent shockwaves through Argentina, featuring hooded individuals brandishing weapons and making menacing threats against Governor Maximiliano Pullaro and Security Minister Patricia Bullrich.
In the chilling footage, the men, who appear dressed in military-style gear, explicitly target Pullaro and Bullrich, claiming that "innocent people were killed" and accusing the officials of seeking to strengthen their own positions. They use harsh language, referring to the ministers as "mafiosos" and demanding action on social issues like jobs and schools.
“To you, Mrs. Bullrich, ex-mafia wife, stop plowing the field and adding fuel to the fire,” one figure asserts.
The message intensifies, with the men vowing to "start leaving dead people" in Buenos Aires and promising a campaign of violence throughout the capital city and Santa Fe province.
The video, which surfaced on December 8th, quickly went viral, triggering a swift response from authorities. Both Pullaro and Bullrich confirmed they had filed criminal complaints alleging terrorism.
The President’s office issued a strong statement condemning the footage as a "clear terrorist threat" aimed at intimidating the public and democratically elected leaders.
"Make no mistake, with us they will never be able to. In the new Argentina there is no place for armed violence," the statement declared.
Experts are working to identify the weapon types seen in the video, according to sources. Notably, the footage features a FAL rifle, a type not previously associated with gangs operating in Rosario. Officials are investigating the origin of this weapon and its potential connection to the increased violence in the area.
