Amin Sarr should have started in today’s training match and Anel Ahmedhodzic played the second half against Danish Jammerbugt. In the end, none of them came into play. In Ahmedhodzic’s case, it was cold symptoms that made the midfielder stay at home.
Sarr, on the other hand, has been courted by the Dutch Heerenveen and according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the clubs are agreed about a price tag of 24 million for the striker. The 21-year-old was not considered suitable to play in today’s training match.
– It was the assessment that there has been a bit too intense discussions with other clubs to put him in play simply – so we will see what it leads to, we do not know now, says Andreas Georgson and reveals that more than Heerenveen are involved:

During Friday night came Aftonbladet with the information that French Reims placed a bid of SEK 40 million for 22-year-old Ahmedhodzic – which MFF denied.
– I do not want to go into detail from one to the other. We keep that to ourselves. When it comes to negotiations, every detail is important for us to own, so we do not want to comment on it externally, says Georgson.

Both Sarr’s and Ahmedhodzic’s agreement with MFF extends over 2023.

– Players who perform as both have done, especially during the autumn perhaps, and are at that age with that training – they become attractive. In general, it is clear that we want everyone to stay in Malmö forever. There will come a point maybe where a player we take a step, and then it becomes important for us and see that it must be a deal that is good for us. We are so strong, both financially and in the contract situation, that we do not have to force deals that we do not think are good for the club. That’s the beauty, then if we land there in negotiations – we’ll see, says the MFF sports director.

Further states Expressen that MFF is approaching a signing of Matej Chalus from Czech Slovan Liberec. He can replace Hugo Andersson, who was missing from yesterday’s training and also did not play against Jammerbugt.
