“It is better not to anticipate.” This is how the President-elect, Gabriel Boric, responded to the question about the statements of the spokesman for his command, Giorgio Jackson, who assured that when the Magellan takes office “the complaints about the State Security Law will be withdrawn”, in relation to the legal cases derived from the so-called social outbreak. He also stated that he is in talks with the NHRI and the victims of human rights violations.

The President-elect, Gabriel Boric, referred to the sayings of George Jackson, who assured that once the Magellan takes office “The complaints under the State Security Law are going to be withdrawn.”
After the meeting he held with President Sebastián Piñera at the Palacio de La Moneda, Boric specified that they are in talks with the National Institute of Human Rights and assured that “We are going to review case by case as appropriate and in this it is better not to anticipate, but we are working on it”, in relation to the judicial causes derived by 18-O.
I affirm that “In Chile, unfortunately, despite the efforts that were made, impunity still exists, both about the crimes that occurred in the past during the military dictatorship and also about the serious violations of human rights that followed the social outbreak ”.
Along the same lines, he asserted that he had spoken with victims of human rights violations, such as Gustavo Gatica, Fabiola Campillai, with the family of Cristian Valdebenito and Alex Núñez.
“One of the priorities of our Government will be that there is truth, justice, reparation and, by the way, non-repetition ”.

In conversation with Radio Cooperativa, the deputy and spokesman for the Boric command, Giorgio Jackson indicated that they are “concerned about being able to unite Chile” and that their purpose is “to advance this idea of family reconciliation”, alluding both to “the people who were affected by excesses, looting or fires during the social outbreak, such as those who are deprived of liberty without any type of evidence ”.
The parliamentarian stated that “The complaints for the State Security Law will be withdrawn when Gabriel Boric takes over as president.”
