Arestovich also announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were carrying out counterattacks in the direction of Kharkiv and continued tactical actions against the enemy in the direction of Kherson.
An adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine noted that the situation was generally optimistic, with a slight dominance of Ukraine.
At the same time, he acknowledged that Russia continues to carry out air strikes on critical infrastructure, military industrial facilities, and continues to destroy residential areas, especially in Mariupol, Harhiv, and Chernivtsi. In this context, as Arestovich said, Russia is trying to turn Chernivtsi into a “second Mariupol”.
“It simply came to our notice then. “Chernivtsi still has a land route, military and humanitarian aid is provided and people can leave the city,” Arestovich said.
