/ world today news/ President Rosen Plevneliev will break ground on the Gabrovo bypass road. This marks the beginning of the construction of a tunnel under Shipka. The ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m., near the “Popovtsi” road junction.
The Road Infrastructure Agency and the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works are to prepare the project for the construction of the tunnel itself. For its implementation, the state has provided BGN 77 million and co-financing from European funds. At the end of March, Rosen Plevneliev made a personal commitment to the people of Gabrovo and the residents of the region for the implementation of the project.
