After the leak of an alleged arrest warrant against Patricio Cabezut, for alleged sexual abuse, Óscar Mora, the actor and driver’s lawyer, assured that they are not aware of a new complaint against his client.
Since 2021, Patricio Cabezut, former host of Hoy, has been involved in controversy, after his ex-wife, presenter Aurea Zapata, accused him of alleged domestic violence, which is why they divorced.
The accusation of Aurea Zapata resulted in a legal process that, to date, continues to be resolved; However, on March 20, through Instagram, the host published a video in which she claimed to fear for her life after a judge determined that Cabezut can see her daughters:
“I fear for the lives of my daughters and mine… (a judge) determined that the locks be broken, my apartment was searched and the girls were searched and found to present to him… we are very afraid, we have been several days, not to say hidden, we fear an abduction from my ex-husband or from the judge himself.”
What happened to Patricio Cabezut?
Days after Aurea Zapata published her video, the leak of an alleged arrest warrant issued by a judge against Patricio Cabezut for the alleged sexual abuse of his two daughters emerged on social networks.
After the revelation of the alleged arrest warrant, this April 1, in conversation with Ventaneando, lawyer Óscar Mora mentioned that they are not aware of this supposed new legal process against his client.
“(We are) shocked just like the media with this news that has been leaked… about a possible arrest warrant against Patricio, a possible new criminal process… We are completely unaware of this situation,” explained the lawyer.
Óscar Mora added that he is working to “guarantee due process in the face of these possible accusations” against his client, but that they have not yet received news from the authorities.
What did Patricio Cabezut’s lawyer say?
In addition to talking about the alleged abuse complaint, Patricio Cabezut’s lawyer also spoke about the Aurea Zapata video and denied that there was a persecution against him.
“We are badly surprised because in recent weeks there have been different comments from the mother (Aurea Zapara) in which she suggests that there is persecution against her… a very delicate issue is being attributed to my client, a subject quite striking in terms of the impact it is having and that of course we are going to attend to.”
After that comment, lawyer Óscar Mora did not give more details about his client’s controversy. On different occasions, Cabezut has denied the accusations against him.
“There is incontrovertible evidence that (family violence) did not occur, but quite the opposite and that is why I want there to be a trial,” Patricio Cabezut explained in 2023 in conversation with several media outlets.
