People must also be mentally prepared for the next period, as the effects of the economic crisis caused by the war in Ukraine will be known only at the end of the summer, UDMR president, Deputy Prime Minister Kelemen Hunor, warned on Tuesday.

Kelemen Hunor estimated, on B1TV, that 80-90% of the measures presented in the “Support for Romania” program will be implemented, but there will be other measures, which will be announced in the next period, including rates.

“Everything that is happening around us is evolving. Today we do not know what will happen in a month, in two months and we do not know what the exact effects will be until September – October. I’m afraid we’ll see the real effects in late summer. And I don’t want to wrap up too nicely and say, “Don’t worry, there’s no problem.” Yes, there will be problems. We must prepare ourselves, but also society, we must all prepare mentally, all of us. Nothing will be, at least in the years to come, as it was before the war. That is the criminal act of President Putin, “said the UDMR president.
