The Angels. US singer Janet Jackson (55) says she has no major problems with aging. “We all want to stay young forever, but it’s inevitable. We all have to go through that,” she said in an interview with Allure magazine on Tuesday (local time). She doesn’t want to treat her face excessively with fillers, stretching or freezing. “I don’t know when my day will come, but eventually it will come and I can choose which way I will go. I hope I age gracefully. It will either be a little prettified or graceful.”
Jackson said she’s glad that women in the music industry are defining their own ideals of beauty these days. Women today “feel comfortable in their own skin, with their size, their full figure, and I think that’s great, it’s different than before,” she said. “You always had to be thin and have a certain look. Now everything is accepted, everything is beautiful, and I absolutely love that.” Among her younger colleagues, she particularly admires the rapper Lizzo (33) in this regard.
