But not being able to get a card at that price, when that was (almost) possible, the next generation was already ready. The price of electricity has increased significantly, consumption has increased, cloud gaming has become accessible and has relatively large support, a Steam Deck is available, etc. I’ve been considering a 4090, so the issue isn’t just money, it’s a combination of several factors. I’m certainly not the only one skipping this generation for the time being, and Nvidia can thank that for their pricing, availability, and design picks.
