There are three goalkeepers, ten defenders and fifteen forwards in the nomination of the Slovak under-20 hockey team for final preparation before the championship. Coach Ivan Feneš contacted thirteen hockey players active in North American competition.
“The good news is that among those players who have already missed something and are our little stars, we can count on Šimon Nemec and Filip Mešár. The first name will join us from December 18th, Filip will arrive on December 15th,” the 45-year-old coach revealed to the hockeyslovakia.sk portal that there will also be other productive female hockey players from overseas young girls in his team.
Servác Petrovský maintains a balance of more than one point per game in the OHL, Samuel Honzek is even part of the Canadians’ elite ten in the WHL.
“The form of several players is extremely pleasing to us. If they transfer well-being from the club to the national team, it will be of great benefit to us.” Be carried forward.
Coach Feneš is still unclear who will be the team’s goalkeeping unit. From Europe, he has nominated Patrik Andrisík, who will be joined by Matej Marinov and Ján Korec, who are starting out in the American junior USHL competition.
“All three have a chance to fight for unit position. It will just depend on their current performances. We have organized three pre-season matches so they will have a chance to show off.” added the coach.
