Marek Rodak – 5

Despite the almost zero occupancy in the club, it was the expected choice from the available goalkeepers. Apart from a few inaccuracies, the lack of peace was especially pronounced in the 40th minute, when Fulham’s double was knocked down by Šatko’s center from the side. On the second attempt, the home wing got the ball in front of the goal and Šeško could and should have scored in the open area. He managed other interventions from the category of obligors, he could not for the collected goal.

Peter Pekarík – 4

With a few reservations, he fulfilled what he had to do on the defensive. However, he did not add an offensive superstructure. After switching to the offensive, Schranz ran more to the middle, with Pekarík remaining a free highway. He took the ball in a deep position where the opponent closed it. It is questionable to what extent he was bound by the coach’s tactics. In modern football, extreme defenders ride like motorcycles and are full members of the offensive. Veteran Herthy has proven it in the past.

Lubomir Satka – 3

He was surprised by his preference over Valjent, who again regularly performs in La Liga. Before the collected goal, he kicked the ball laxly, then he and Pekarík did not react to the performance of the rest of the defensive line. Two minutes before, he did not manage the position on the right side and the Slovenians could have settled earlier. Tracker Poznan did not follow up on several positive performances in the national team, when he excelled by reading the game. Too often, he forced, but also forced, to play by chance even in dangerous areas. This time they did not find harmony with Škriniar.

Milan Skriniar – 7

He confirmed the role of a mature leader, raising a pledge of defense. Except when he fired the ball at Lobotek before the penalty area, he played calmly. He extinguished several times as a last resort. He confirmed his self-confidence in the play, although he came under pressure due to insufficient supply. He may be sorry that, in the middle of the second act, he did not score his head alone in front of the Cloud. Chemistry with Holúbek did not work as before with Hubočan.

Jakub Holubek – 3

At 30, he faced the biggest challenge in the national team and it was felt. He came across an inexperienced level from the club, he didn’t like the fights with Iličič. In some places he seemed frightened, making unnecessary mistakes and losses. Like Pekarík, he supported the attack minimally, and even in this case it may be to the detriment of the tactical plan. Instead of completing the offensive, he inaccurately centered from a great distance. He stepped out of position before the collected goal and Weiss did not help him. Forces Hancko or De Marco were a more suitable alternative to the slower and more physical Iličič.

Juraj Kucka – 6

He was not as positively spontaneous and dominant in fights as usual. With 20 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 – 0 lead as Boženík flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. In the second half, he almost collapsed the gate with his head into the crossbar. He actively supplemented the offensive, but all too often, instead of constructive solutions, he fired from unprepared positions. At the end of the first half, Hamšík did not fill the space in front of the defenders and Lobotek, which, with the deeper position of the team, caused pressure from Slovenia.

Stanislav Lobotka – 8

The revival from the club was also confirmed in the national team, the key player for the transition phase returned. After a long time, we watched Lobotka, whose concept changed the game of Slovakia a few years ago. He enjoyed himself in situations where many kick the ball. Export or play under pressure? No problem. He destroyed the opponent’s pre-final or final pass. In the last quarter of the match, he seemed to have completed an intensive fitness camp in recent months. He was reminiscent of French Kanté, giving the best performance in the national team in the last two years.

Marek Hamsik – 7

Hetrik could easily record the assistance. Kucka headed for a corner into the crossbar, Škriniar after a free kick over, Schranz from the game into the bar. Although he did not make riskier passes in the beginning, he gradually took on the role of conductor. Before the goal, he accelerated the game by hitting Weiss. He waved his hands several times and was not satisfied with the start-ups of his teammates. Hamšík has changed its game in recent years. It is no longer pushed high until the end, at the age of 34 it is not so physical. However, it is still crucial for Slovakia’s game.

Ivan Schranz – 4

He did not confirm the goal form from Slavia Prague. He hadn’t been in his skin since the beginning, most of the time he was just passing for sure. Before leaving the field, he was a little annoyed a quarter of an hour before the end. He fouled, he had one and a half yellow cards with the referee. Despite an ideal day, he could double the lead in the 37th minute when, after a brilliant pass by Hamšík, the ball slipped on his foot and he hit the post with a half-volley. He has not scored in the national team seven times in a row since his debut.

VIDEO: Róbert Boženík opened the score of the match Slovenia – Slovakia

Róbert Boženík – 5

He only spoiled the goal. His balls bounced off, no passes came, and he didn’t catch his teammates’ thoughts. He looked lost on the tip, showing inexperience from the club. If he had finished the halfway this way, he might not have started the second one. After 32 minutes, Weissa broke through on the left and put the 1 – 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. He showed no more than fighting spirit. It has potential that needs to be developed in the long run, but it cannot represent without gaming practice. The search for a stable shooter continues for the time being.

Vladimir Weiss – 5

He scored one goal, one caused. After the exchange with Hamšík, he jammed the defender and beautifully caught Boženík’s initial hit. He soon did not catch the onslaught of his defender and after Holúbek’s performance he stretched the Slovenian red carpet to level it. Defensive has never been his strength. After a long time, he had more responsibility in the national team and only occasionally got into the role. He has tried his significant penetrations and imaginative combinations, but a player with his football potential has to show more.

Róbert Mak – 5

He came to the final quarter of the match and was wanted. Lost the ball, the start-up activity did not meet the expectations of the fresh player. His moment came three minutes before the end, when he bumped into Sagittarius and finished sixteen inside. However, the cloud did not emphasize and insufficiently placed shot covered the shot. He soon fell in the penalty area, but failed to call for a penalty.

Martin Koscelník – 5

A quarter of an hour before the end, when the Slovaks could push the tired opponent, the right defender replaced the forward Schranz on the wing. A special move could have brought the winning goal when Koscelník passed the ground into the lime and Sagittarius incomprehensibly released the ball.

David Strelec – 5

The quarter-hour participation of the new acquisition of Spezia was defined by two moments. First, Mak hit the ball into the goal position, soon releasing it to the same player after the ground center of Koscelník. The occupied Mak must have shouted, but the completely free Sagittarius should have shown the finisher’s instinct. He missed him in the last months in Slovan, the last time he scored in mid-May. At the international level, details are decisive, and Slovakia currently lacks an attacker to do them right.

Ondrej Duda – no rating

He started in the 90th minute.
