After the under-20 WC was canceled in the winter due to the spread of the coronavirus, young hockey players got a second chance. In March, the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF decided that the championship will be held in Edmonton, Canada, in August.
The Slovaks will appear in the B-group against home country Canada, Finland, the Czech Republic and Latvia, which replaced the Russians at the tournament.
Slovakia will enter the under-20 hockey WC on Tuesday, August 9 at 20:00 with a duel against the Czech Republic. Then exactly at midnight on August 11-12, they will face Canada24 hours later at midnight on August 12-13 against Latvia. They will end their performance in the basic B-group August 14 at 20:00 against Finland.
