WB Games Montréal will release action RPG Gotham Knights in 2021 – Gaming – News

Warner Bros. Montreal, the game studio that made Batman: Arkham Orgins in the past, is working on Gotham Knights. That will be the same kind of game, but with different protagonists and the possibility of co-op with two players. The studio has shown a trailer and gameplay.

In the Gotham Knights story, Batman is dead. In a final message before his death, he calls on allies Batgirl, Red Hood, Robin and Nightwing to take over his job and protect the city from the known supervillains. This includes at least Mr. Freeze, which can be seen in gameplay.

The game is very similar to the Arkham games, with similar ways of both fighting and traversing the game world. It can also be concluded that both stealth if straightforward fighting are options and that there will be a leveling system in the game.

Despite the similarities, the game’s story has no connection with the Arkham games, says WB Games opposite Kotaku. The game should be released next year for the current and upcoming generations of Xbox and PlayStation, as well as Windows.

Rocksteady, the studio that founded the Batman: Arkham game franchise, showed its off this weekend new Suicide Squad game.
