The current football pensioner shaped Manchester United’s offense from 2004 to 2017 and has matured into an icon for the Red Devils. During his time at the Manchester club he has rubbed shoulders with a number of teammates. One thing in particular remains in the Englishman’s memory – but in a negative sense.
Rooney: “There’s probably more than you think”
In the podcast ‘Seven: Rob Burrow with Wayne Rooney’, the 38-year-old talked about earlier times and made people sit up and take notice: “My worst teammate? There are probably more than you think. The worst Nani was on the pitch. Nani continues to be active as a player – Rooney as a coach
He left it open why exactly Nani (36) was remembered so negatively for him. The two played together at Old Trafford between 2007 and 2014, winning every title.
