English football legend Wayne Rooney, who finished his active career during the season, and became the official command tower, was defeated in his official coaching debut.

Derby County, led by Rooney, lost 0-1 in the home game of the 2020-2021 England Championship (2nd Division) round 24 against Rotherham United at the Pride Park Stadium in Derby, England on the 17th (Korean time). This day’s match was Rooney’s official coach debut.

Rooney, who has scored 53 goals in 120 A-match matches as England national team, and has the highest goal record ever, was elected official coach on the 16th.

Rooney, who moved to Derby County in August 2019, played as a playing coach, and took over as manager after coach Philip Goku was hardened by poor performance in November of last year. Rooney, who scored 3 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses in 9 matches played as the manager’s acting manager, gained the confidence of the club and took over as official manager.

He ended his career since 2002 as he became an official coach.

However, Rooney had to swallow up his regrets in his first game as official manager.

Derby County ranked 23rd out of 24 teams with 4 wins, 7 draws and 12 losses (19 points, -11 goals). Rotherham, who won 5 wins, 4 draws, 12 losses (19 points, goals -9), climbed one step from 23rd to 22nd.

Coach Rooney challenges the official coach’s first win against Bournemouth on the 20th.
