They hated and they loved him. A wax museum in Texas now has to remove a figure of Donald Trump because visitors kept trying to hit her.
Donald Trump may not have been in the White House since January, but the 45th US President is still a celebrity. That is why he has cast his place in wax in the exhibitions of “Louis Tussaud’s”. The “Waxworks” Museum in San Antonio in the US state of Texas belongs to the quirky empire “Ripley’s”, which, among other things, operates wax museum collections all over the USA. But in San Antonio, the figure of Donald Trump had to be removed from the museum. Too often visitors had vented their anger over the controversial president on the figure. Trump, who was placed between Vladimir Putin and the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, was repeatedly scratched and beaten.
A total of three wax sculptures were made for the various exhibitions of “Ripley’s” in 2016 after Donald Trump was elected. At the time, the company released a statement that said, “Just like in real life, the wax Trump polls are at 50 percent – some” Ripley’s “visitors love him, others loathe him.” On Twitter, the reactions to the removed wax statue were rather malicious. “The people have spoken,” wrote this user to the message.
And another commenter suspected that the two waxy colleagues were behind the attacks. “The characters of Putin and Kim Jong-un have microchips that whisper: ‘Hit him again’.”
