“The situation, which is unacceptable for users, cannot go on any longer. Last week, numerous incidents disrupted rail traffic on the Lyon/Grenoble line and caused significant delays. This line, used every day by many users, had already experienced a period of disruption, last December. Such a situation is not acceptable either for travelers or for the Region. […] Each delay is now recorded and counted; each delay will result in the payment of penalties, as specified in the agreement between the Region and the SNCF, signed in 2017. Indeed, when signing this agreement, the Region had included the TER Lyon/Grenoble line among the strategic lines subject to a bonus or malus payment depending on the circulation of the trains. The objective was to ensure the regularity of the trains on this line used, every day, by many users. »
