A huge “fire waterfall” stunned photographers and nature lovers, who enjoyed the view of the sun’s rays reflecting on the waterfall at sunset in Yosemite National Park in California.
Each year, for a brief moment, the last rays of the day before sunset illuminate Horsestyle Falls, in a lava flow-like spectacle down El Capitan’s famous cliff.
This phenomenon attracts tourists from all over the United States, and it lasts only a few minutes, and it only takes place when all the necessary conditions are met.
“When the sun goes down at that exact angle, it reflects back on El Capitan,” Yosemite National Park public relations officer Scott Gedeman told AFP.
He added, “It is a combination of the sun reflecting on the water, a clear sky, and the flow of water. If all these conditions are met, magic will happen.
California, like much of the western United States, has experienced years of drought.
However, heavy rains at the beginning of the year, which caused deadly floods in parts of this western US state, raised river levels.
