Water Restrictions in Rezé Commune: Loire Basin on Alert and Logne Basin at Crisis Level

The commune of Rezé straddles three basins:

the Logne basin, Boulogne, Ognon and Grand-Lieu, the Sèvre Nantaise basin, the Loire basin.

The Loire basin, until now on “alert”, was placed on “enhanced alert” on October 17, 2023.
The restrictions on the use of surface water in this watershed are therefore now identical to the requirements that apply to the use of drinking water in the department.

Since June 30, the Logne, Boulogne, Ognon and Grand-lieu basin has been placed at the maximum “crisis” alert level for the use of surface water (maximum alert level).

The perimeter is delimited by rue du Genais to the west; rue de la Butte-de-Praud to the north and rue Ernest-Sauvestre to the east.

In this area, the following restriction measures apply for surface waters:

ban on watering green spaces, lawns for all, ban on watering vegetable gardens between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. for all, are also prohibited: uses of water not strictly necessary for the production process, watering of pathways golf courses and the filling and leveling of water bodies as well as the irrigation of greenhouse crops and young plants in nurseries, for communities, the use of water is restricted.
