Northeast Twente has not yet been rid of the E. coli bacteria in the drinking water. Water company Vitens has extended the boiling advice of tap water until Thursday, reports RTV East. The company needs the next few days to perform new tests and analyze the samples.
“The results of our tests show that there is less, but still a very small amount of the previously found bacteria (E. coli and enterococci) in the drinking water,” says the drinking water company’s site. Thursday’s test results will show whether the water is safe to drink again.
