A water leak in the counting room delayed Tuesday morning the counting of advance votes in Fulton County in the key state of Georgia.
The stated on the website of the State Farm Arena in the big city of Atlanta, where a vote count is taking place in Fulton County.
According to the TV channel Fox 5, 30,000 votes were affected by a stop in the count that lasted four hours.

Although the ballot papers were not damaged, the leak has had major ripple effects in the election thriller between US President Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
Cause: cracked water pipe
Many media, including Dagbladet, reported last night that the state of Georgia has become an unlikely tipping state where Trump this morning was likely to win.
The fact that the battle can still not be considered decided, is partly due to the fact that the cracked water pipe in Fulton County delayed the counting of tens of thousands of votes.
“Around 6:07 a.m., State Farm Arena employees reported to the Fulton County Electoral and Registration Office about a water leak that affected the room where advance votes were counted,” the statement from Fulton County said on State Farm Arena’s website.
State Farm Arena is the home arena for the Atlanta Hawks basketball team, and is also used for concerts and other major events.
Inflamed process
Repairs were implemented immediately, but the leak still led to a four-hour stay in the census, reports Fox 5 TV Station.
Only at half past nine in the morning could the vote count resume, writes Fox 5.
Biden is struggling – Trump is the favorite
It will still be a long time before all the votes are counted – which could add to further tension in the heated dispute between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat challenger Joe Biden.
The election has developed into the regular thriller that many feared, and accusations of attempts to steal the election are already loose with the controversial president.
Fulton County says the scheduled advance vote will take place over the next two days.
