water packs or portable tanks for 8,200 O subscribers

The water supply from the Vivé plant is interrupted following the ruptured pipes caused by the land subsidence. Lamentin subscribers will receive water packs or go to the mobile cisterns installed by Odyssi.

The landslides resulting from the bad weather suffered by Martinique since Thursday, November 5, 2020 have caused pipe breaks that are detrimental to the supply of drinking water to subscribers.

On the SME side (Martinique water company), 22,000 subscribers are waiting for a return to normal water distribution and on the Odyssi side 30,000 subscribers are without water, including 8,200 on Lamentin and Saint-Joseph.

The SME is unable to supply the quantity of water required for the Lamentin reservoirs. In a press release published today, Saturday November 14, 2020, the Odyssi company announces that it will make water packs and cisterns available to the Lamentin town hall, which will take care of the distribution.
