The storm and torrential rain that hit Burgas late last night created serious problems. Emergency crews worked all morning in several areas of the city to repair the damage. Fallen trees and branches have blocked streets, and some infrastructure has been damaged. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The element also hit Kraimorie beach, the concessionaire Nikolay Dimitrov announced. The stormy sea has swallowed part of the strip and with it – water bikes, umbrellas and sunbeds. The strong wind even managed to tilt the rescue post.
From 06:30 to 08:30 the whole team on the beach worked on repairing the damage so that they could meet the first beachgoers on the holiday. There is no more mention of the storm. The strip is again full of beachgoers, although the cold wind today.
“In the morning they called me to tell me that the beach was damaged by the storm last night. We arrived early – shortly after 6 o’clock. We made an organization and in two hours we managed to get everything out of the sea and repair the damage,” said Nikolay Dimitrov.
A yellow code for stormy wind has been announced for today in Burgas district, and the maximum temperatures in will be up to 23 degrees. Rain is expected tomorrow, Tuesday.
The good news is that as of Wednesday, the weather forecast is for temperatures to rise. This gives hope to many people who prefer the September sea to use their vacation for the last days of summer.
