The water companies in Giza and Cairo governorates announced cutting off water to a large number of areas due to a sudden break in one of the lines, in addition to diverting the route of another line.
The areas that will be cut off are as follows:
Cairo Governorate:
The Cairo Drinking Water Company announced that it has now cut off water in a number of areas in the capital due to a sudden break.
And she said that, due to circumstances beyond her control, with a sudden break in the water line with a diameter of 1200 mm in front of the wall of the Military College on Abdel Hamid Badawi Street, the water was cut off from the areas (Sheraton Residences – the Arab Forum – some areas of Heliopolis and Nasr City).
All the company’s equipment, technicians and engineers were paid to work on completing the repair work as soon as possible.
The company has also provided drinking water vehicles, which will be distributed free of charge in the affected areas. In case of request, please call the hotline 125 or the WhatsApp service at 01206665125.
Giza:
The Giza Governorate also announced a 6-hour water cut off on some streets in Agouza to divert a water line under the Nahia Bridge on Friday.
The governorate said that this comes due to the rerouting of the water line with a diameter of 600 mm located below the Nahia Bridge on Sudan Street in Al-Agouza neighborhood.
She added that the matter requires the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company to cut off the water for a period of 6 hours, from 12:00 pm on Friday, corresponding to 11/8/2023, until 6:00 am, on Saturday, corresponding to 12/8/2023.
Giza Governorate indicated that the areas affected by the water cut are:
1- Sudan Street, starting from Al-Israa Street until Gamaet El Dowal Al Arabiya Street.
2- Arab League Street, starting from Sudan Street to Shehab Street and its branches.
3- Syria Street and its branches.
4- Behind Al-Marwa Hospital and Mosadak Street and its branches.
5- Iraq Street.
6- Hammad Street.
7- Al-Kawthar Street.
8- Al-Furat Street.
9- Riyadh Street.
10- Aden Street.
11- Damascus Street.
Giza Governorate noted that the Drinking Water Company will provide cars loaded with clean, potable water to move around the affected areas. For emergencies, call the hotline 125 to meet the needs of citizens immediately.
