watchOS 7.0.3 fixes unexpected restart issue

watchOS 7.0.3 available now

Apple’s watchOS 7.0.3 is now available. A week earlier, Apple already released the update to watchOS 7.0.2. The third watchOS update is only available for the Apple Watch Series 3. Users of other Apple Watch models will not see the update. watchOS 7.0.3 resolves the issue that sometimes causes the Series 3 to reboot unexpectedly.

After the arrival of watchOS 7, it was a common complaint: the Apple Watch Series 3 spontaneously reboots several times a day. After almost a month, Apple comes up with a solution.

In addition, the watch sometimes loses connection with a paired iPhone and certain apps do not want to load. Also, the Apple Watch Series 3 is said to be much slower since the update to watchOS 7. It is not clear whether these two problems have now also been solved.

Download watchOS 7.0.3

There are two ways to update your Apple Watch: via your iPhone and directly via the Apple Watch itself. Below you can read how to apply both ways.

watchOS update via je iPhone

1. Use your paired iPhone;
2. Go to My Watch and after that General;
3. Tap on Software-update and please wait until the update is downloaded;
4. Connect your Apple Watch to the charger and wait for the update to install.

Keep your paired iPhone close to your Apple Watch or you will disrupt the update process. The update can take longer than an hour. So patience is certainly a virtue. You can only complete the installation with your Apple Watch connected to the charger. So keep this in mind.

Updaten direct via Apple Watch

1. Open the settings app on your Apple Watch;
2. Go to General and after that Software-update;
3. Your Apple Watch will now search for the watchOS update;
4. Tap download;
5. Connect your Apple Watch to the charger and the installation starts automatically.
