Actor Jamie Lee Curtis (62) opens up for the first time about what it was like to follow his son’s transition to becoming a woman.

In an interview with AARP The Magazine, Curtis says that she “watched with wonder and pride that our son became our daughter, Ruby”.

Several international media, including the channel NBC News, has mentioned the case.

Together with her 73-year-old husband, Christopher Guest, she has two children, Ruby (25) and Annie (34) – both of whom were adopted by the couple as infants.

According to the channel, Ruby, who was previously named Thomas, works as a computer game editor, and next year she will marry her boyfriend in a wedding that her mother Curtis will lead.

The actress also says during the interview that her life is in a constant transformation.

Curtis is best known for the first “Halloween” movie from 1978, in which she played a young student who is babysitting and is attacked by a killer.

She became world famous for her role, and both in 2002 and 2018, she was seen again in the horror universe of the “Halloween” movies.

– Is so happy!

The actor has previously been open about extensive drug use. In 2018, she spoke out about her challenges. Then Curtis admitted that she at times stole pills from friends.

– It lasted for ten years. I stole and cheated. Nobody knew about it. No, the star said then.

The problems started when she received a prescription for opiates for the first time in 1989 after a cosmetic eyelid surgery.

In the years that followed, she obtained painkillers in every possible way. It was not until her husband was secretly introduced that Curtis received professional help.

In a post on Instagram, she wrote on Thursday that she rarely smiles at photos, but that she was unable to do well when photographing with AARP.

– Because I’m so happy! wrote Curtis.

Among other things, she added:

– Glad to be me. Happy to be in such a creative period. Glad I’m sober and ready.
