The series takes place thousands of years before the events described in the books and the films of the film director Peter Jackson, and it will be visible to everyone on September 2 this year.

Hobbit ancestors and a number of other mysterious characters can be seen in the 60-second trailer. Elves and gnomes appear through snow-capped mountains, stormy seas and dark forests. “Before the king, before the fellowship, before the ring – a new legend will start this autumn,” reads the commercial on the series.

Galadriel is depicted, portrayed by Morphide Clark, with a dagger clinging to an icy cliff, while Halbrand (Charlie Vicker) is apparently stuck on a raft in the middle of the ocean. The warrior elf Arondir (Ismael Cross Cordoba) grabs a flying arrow and targets it in the sky, Prince Durin IV (Ovens Arthur) also looked up.

We also see a young Elrondo (Robert Aramayo), a singing princess Disa (Sofia Nomvete) and a soldier in the role of Will Fletcher. At the end of the trailer, two palms appear, which surround each other. One is an adult, the other is a child.

On the Internet, fans have actively expressed their opinion about the commercial. Someone writes, “A black elf and a black Dwarf Princess in the new” Lord of the Rings “- it makes me cry tears of happiness. I’m glad I finally saw it!”

Another adds, “Did I just think the elves got smaller? Since the original movie The Lord of the Rings, they’ve started to look like ordinary people with fake ears. I can’t understand why.”

Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Joseph Maul, Sir Lenny Henry and Peter Mulan will also take part in the series.

The series was originally shot in New Zealand, but will now move to the UK to begin filming the second of the five series, the BBC reports.
